Chief Petty Officer Daniel Jackson, Navy diver senior, assigned to Deep Submergence Unit is lowered into the water while piloting an atmospheric diving system 2000 during the unit's 2nd annual Submarine Rescue Day at Naval Air Station North Island. DSU is the only operator of this type of ADS system in the world, which is capable of safely operating at depths of up to 2000 feet.
