Bellingham, Wash. (June 3) -- Coast Guard 41-ft. utility boat (UTB). These alumninum-hulled boats, built at Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, Md., combine speed and manuverability to carry out a variety of missions -- search and rescue, fire-fighting, law enforcement, pollution investigation, transport of navigational aid repair crews, safety boarding, harbor patrols and any of the hundred of jobs the Coast Guard performs in protected waters.
