(April 15, 2003)--The new Coast Guard Defender Class Response boat, the 25-foot RB-S, is out on a trial run. The new "Defender Class" boats will replace nearly 300 non-standard shore based boats and provide a standarized platform for the Coast Guard's new Maritime Safety and Security Teams (MSST) which were established as a result of the September 1th terrorist attacks.
