Bendy, 23, of Chester TX., stands watch from the buoy deck of the Coast Guard Cutter Walnut at the port of Umm Quasr, Iraq April 22, 2003.The Walnut is replacing buoys in the Khawr Abd Allah waterway to ensure safe transit for vessels sailing to the port of Umm Kusr including vessels bringing humanitarian aid to the people of Iraq.
