KODIAK, Alaska (Jun. 6, 2005) The Coast Guard Integrated Support Command Morale, Well-being and Recreation (MWR) department sponsored a kid?s halibut fishing derby here Sunday. The 1st place winner was Kevin K. Taylor, 9, shown with his father Claude Taylor, after hauling in a 46 inch halibut. The 2nd place winner was Nichellion K. Lapolt, 7, shown with her father Bob Lapolt, after reeling in a 43 inch halibut. The winner received a drivable battery powered motorcycle and the 2nd place winner took homea backpack and a water bottle. A total of twelve kids participated in the fishing derby.
