ARCTIC OCEAN (June 15, 2005) - Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Louis C. Bishop, 27, of Fairhope, Ala., tightens a set of snow skis today on an HH-65B Dolphin helicopter about 100 miles north of Barrow, Alaska. Bishop is one of eight members from Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile, Ala., stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Healy, homeported in Seattle, in support of ice research missions funded by the National Science Foundation. The aircrew's deployment aboard the Healy marks the last mission for the crew of ATC Mobile who are working in support of the Coast Guard's Polar Operations Division.
