Persian Gulf (July 27)--Crew of the CGC Midgett (WHEC 726) give the decks a good scrubbing while underway. The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Midgett departed homeport of Seattle Washington on June 18, 1999, to deploy with the USS Constellation Battle Group to the Persian Gulf. The Midgett is the first Coast Guard cutter to deploy to the Gulf with a U.S. Navy Battle Group.
