Honolulu, HI (Dec. 9) -- SN Bill Nolen. Coast Guard Cutter Walnut (WLB 205), surfaces the 18,00-lb. Hotel buoy after it was "picked" from Honolulu Harbor. After eight hours of labor which included surfacing, painting, replacing two-60-lb. batteries and solar panels, the buoy was re-set to its station one mile off Honolulu Harbor. Serviced bi-annually, the 35-ft. safewater buoy is the largest in the Hawaiian Islands. USCG photo by PA2 Sarah Foster-Snell
