Sitkinak Island, AK (Jan. 1998) -- A Tent used by Coast Guard crews sits in front of an abandoned Coast Guard loran station on Sitkinak Island. Crews have been "squaring up with Mother Nature" by removing containers of old gasoline, paint and batteries left behind in the 1908s. The waste was moved to the CGC Firebrush (WLB 393) via a Coast Guard HH-60J Jayhawk helicopter then on to Kodiak for proper disposal. Photo by PAC Tod Lyons
