Baltimore, Md. (March 23) -- Two Artic Survey Boats secured aboard the U.S. Coast Guard's newest polar icebreaker the CGC Healy (WAGB 20). The cutter was commisioned on Nov. 10, 1999. The cutter is a capable platform for supporting scientific missions in the polar regions, including logistics, search and rescue, ship escort, environmental protection, and enforcement of laws and treaties.
