Kodiak, Alaska (June 25) - The Coast Guard Cutter Ironwood, the last U.S. ship still on active duty to have served in the Korean War theatre, hoisted a Korean War 50th Anniversary commemoration flag into its rigging here Sunday. The flag raising ceremony honors the thousands of men and women who served during the four-year conflict and to pay tribute to the 33,651 soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen and five Coast Guardsmen who died in the war.
