    MCMURDO CHANNEL, Antarctica (1995)--Coast Guard Cutters Polar Sea (WAGB 11) and CGC Polar Star (WAGB 10) break ice in McMurdo Channel, Antarctica as part of Operation Deep Freeze. Both cutters handled a full slate of missions, including Antarctic weather station maintenance, the McMurdo Channel break-in, Marble Point resupply, the planned operations at Terra Nova Bay, and the Department of State and armed Controlled Disarmament Agency station-inspection mission.
