Kodiak, Alaska (Oct 26)- A Coast Guard rescue crew attempts to free a man from a plane wreck Thursday afternoon on Kodiak Island. A Kodiak man flying a Piper Cub died Thursday of his injuries after he crashed near the seven rivers area on Kodiak Island while on a deer hunt about 84 miles southwest of Kodiak The man was pronounced dead after he arrived at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center Thursday evening.
