RICHMOND, Calif. (Dec. 27)--Damage is shown here to the Port of Richmond's Terminal 2, which was damaged by the M/V Nita M when it was hit. Pier-side and underwater survey indicated that there are six cracked cement pilings and 50 ft of wooden fenders sheared near the two bollards used mainly for spring lines. The M/V Nita M has been inspected by the vessel's classification society surveyor and found to have sustained an indention on the stem that can be repaired during the vessel's next dry-dock period.
