KODIAK, Alaska (June 12) Lt. Matt Jones, supervisor Marine Safety Detachment Kodiak, conducts an inspection on the charter vessel Ten Bears Jun. 11. The Ten Bears is an inspected vessel which means that it is able to carry more passengers than uninspected charter vessels called six packs. The Ten Bears must also meet stringent saftey standards not required for uninspected charter vessels. USCG photo by PA1 Keith Alholm.
