(Sept. 6, 2007) ONBOARD THE USCGC BOUTWELL - Chief Petty Officer Michael Carlson, from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Boutwell, looks out at a Chinese fishing vessel suspected of high seas drift fishing on Thursday here. A boarding team from the Boutwell boarded the vessel earlier in the day while deployed to represent the U.S. Coast Guard in the North Pacific Coast Guard Forum (NPCGF). This forum was created to increase the international maritime safety and security of the Northern Pacific Ocean and its borders, and to help increase maritime protection from high seas drift nets.
