SANTA CRUZ, Calif., (May 25, 2008) Chad Davis, captain and civilian member of the firefighting team at Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma, prepares for another day at the Summit fire in the Santa Cruz mountains. Davis and his team secured hot sports during the day, and removed fire hazards away from homes which were spared by the blaze. His team was part of the Sonoma County Strike Team which joined more than 3000 firefighters from throughout California to battle the fire that destroyed more than 4200 acres.
