ALAMEDA, Calif. -Petty Officer 2nd Class Benjamin J. Russell, an electrician's mate at the Aids to Navigation team stationed at Sector San Francisco services a light atop the Farallon Islands lighthouse, Nov. 10, 2008. A Coast Guard HH-65 "Dolphin" helicopter from Air Station San Francisco dropped off two ems to work on the island's lighthouse. The island is easiest reached by helicopter, and the lighthouse is at the top of a rocky slope. The light is tended to twice a year through regularly scheduled maintenance.
