The commandant of the Marine Corps visited Camp Fallujah on Aug. 16, 2008, to discuss progress being made in Iraq. During his visit, Gen. James T. Conway spoke with Col. Lewis A. Craparotta, commanding officer, Regimental Combat Team 1, about security in the region and traveled to Ramadi to meet with members of the Iraqi army and police.
