NEW YORK-residents look on as New York Police Department divers, New York Fire Department divers and The Coast Guard search for a man reportedly stranded under a Pier on East 90th St., Manhattan, N.Y., March 31, 2009.The initial call was taken by the FDNY and reported to Coast Guard Sector New York at around 2:30 p.m. Coast Guard Sector New York quickly launched two 25-foot rescue boat crews to the scene to assist in the search.The Coast Guard performed search patterns along the East River while the NYPD and FDNY put divers in the water and searched by air.(Coast Guard Photo/Petty Officer Barbara Patton)
