ST. PAUL, Alaska - The 112-foot fishing vessel Mar-Gun was pulled from the beach by winches and taken in tow by the vessel Redeemer. It was moored in Zapadni Harbor, St. George Island, for a damage survey prior to being towed to Dutch Harbor for permanent repairs. The Mar-Gun was pulled off Staraya Beach on the north end of St. George Island, Alaska, May 13, 2009, at about 1 a.m. The vessel grounded March 5. Responders moved quickly to remove 19,000 gallons of diesel and 660 gallons of lube oil from the vessel. It grounded in a critical habitat area. (Coast Guard photo/Lt. j.g. Chris Kimrey)
