    PITTSBURGH - U. S. Coast Guard Seaman Erik Dahl prepares to release the forward spud on the Coast Guard Cutter Osage (WLR 65505), Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at Point State Park.When the Osage is moored, it is held in place by two spuds, one forward on the barge and one on the tender. The spud located on the barge has twenty feet of useable reach and is powered by the barge engine.
