Cmdr. Todd Bloch, the pilot, and Lt. Lance Leone, the co-pilot, stand with Sophie Bilend and Andrea Tardini, whom they rescued from the sailing vessel Croc, at Air Station Elizabeth City Thursday, December 3, 2009. Tardini and Bilend were on their way to the Bahamas from Norfolk when they were beset by heavy weather in a storm, causing them to require Coast Guard assistance.
