NEW LONDON, Conn. - Third class cadet Gabe Nelson, a U.S. Coast Guard Academy boxer, fights in a bout during the U.S. Marine Corps Boxing Team's 6th Annual Northeast Tour Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 in Billard Hall at the Coast Guard Academy.
The Coast Guard Academy hosted the event along with Heavy Hitters USA, a sports and mentoring program for at-risk youth, and presented an exhibition that featured the Marine Corps boxing team competing against boxers from the Coast Guard Academy, the United States Navy, the Army's West Point boxing team and USA Boxing Connecticut.
