SAN DIEGO - A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from Sector San Diego lifts a crate of Girl Scout cookies off of the deck of the U.S.S. Midway Saturday, May 1, 2010 in support of Operation Thin Mint. Since 2002 the Girl Scouts have sent more than 1.5 million boxes of cookies to deployed troops overseas and the Coast Guard had been able take a symbolic role and to help with the operation.
