KODIAK, Alaska - The Coast Guard Cutter Alert, a 210-foot medium endurance cutter from Astoria, Ore. , arrives in Kodiak June 18, 2010. The Alert's crew will attend the Kodiak-based North Pacific Fisheries Training Center before undertaking a patrol in the Bering Sea, a rare occurance for the 210-foot cutters, but the crew is filling a critical need as the high endurance cutters are all deployed or in maintainance periods.
