CORDOVA, Alaska - Petty Officer 3rd Class Erich Klingner, an aviation survival technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Gustaveson, an aviation maintenance technician, and an Air National Guard pararescueman from the 212th Rescue Squadron transfer one of two patients injured on a small plane crash near Cape Suckling from a Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter in Cordova to an Air National Guard HC-130 Hercules aircraft for further transport to Anchorage May 6, 2011. The Coast Guard rescue crew, forward deployed to Cordova from Air Station Kodiak to reduce response time in Prince William Sound during the Alaskan spring and summer, landed on the beach 53 miles southeast of Cordova near the crash to pick up the two people from the Piper Super Cub.
