Staff Sgt. Joseph Smith and Tech. Sgt. James Heim, both biomedical equipment repair technician for the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, along with Army Sgt. Johnathan Brown, biomedical with the 427th Medical Logistic Company, guide the patient couch to the gantry of the Computed Tomography, Aug. 21, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The computed tomography is used to take full body x-rays of military members to search for injuries. Sgt. Smith, a native of Amarillo, TX, is deployed from Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Sgt. Helm, a native of Northumberland. Pa., is deployed from 193rd Special Operations Wing, Pa. Army Sgt. Brown, a native of Marietta. Ga., deployed from Fort Gillem, Ga., in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
