Charris A. James was awarded a Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award, an award given by the Chiarman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, for her continues service as the chief of resources management at U.S. Central Command’s Resources and Analysis Directorate. As chief of resources and management, James is responsible for ensuring personnel, equipment and finances for the directorate are in order. James, an Omaha, Neb., native, started contributing to the command as an intern and was later hired full-time in June 1994.
