ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 9 2004)-- A boarding team from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Aquidneck climbs aboard a cargo dhow to search for smuggled Iraqi oil. The Coast Guard has deployed four 110-foot patrol boats to the region to support U.S. Navy 5th Fleet and coalition forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Maritime Interception Operations to stop illegal oil smuggling and to search for terrorists.
