    CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. - Cmdr. Randall Navarro, operations officer for the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center, presents an award to the final crewmembers of long range navigation transmission station Carolina Beach prior the the station's disestablishment Friday, May 21, 2010. The final crew consisted of Chief Petty Officer Michael C. Smith, Petty Officer's 1st Class Adolfo M. Lugo and Amel E. Davis, and Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael D. Leveille. In accordance with the 2010 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, the U.S. Coast Guard terminated the transmission of all U.S. LORAN-C signals Feb. 8.
