ATLANTIC OCEAN--Coast Guard Seaman Wes Morgan helps assemble a large tent on the flight deck, which will provide covered protection during an upcoming reception for Liberian dignitaries, onboard the Coast Guard Cutter Forward while underway during an Africa Partnership Station (APS) mission June 16, 2011.
The Forward is the primary operational APS platform in 2011, and will be working with our African partner nations to conduct professional exchanges in many areas, including seamanship, search and rescue operations, environmental stewardship, maritime awareness, law enforcement, medical readiness and navigation.
