Lt. j.g. James Byass-Roscoe, left, cuts the hair of Naval Sea Cadet recruit Tyler Hillcar. This is Hillcar's first basic training haircut on the first day of a two-week boot camp with the Sea Cadets. During the training, 40 new recruits will learn close-order drill, Navy traditions and history, military bearing and a host of other things that prepares cadets for future advance training opportunities ranging from medical education, to law enforcement.
