A bulldozer adds dirt to part of the 160,000-yard berm that stretches along the entire Iraq and Syrian border, Aug. 13, 2008. Marines with Support Platoon, Company A, 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5 took almost two weeks to complete the berm project, which included adding approximately 30,000 yards of berm to fill in the gaps. Increased security for the people of Iraq, due to the improved security measures the berm will provide, is a major reason for the completion of this mission.
