JOHN'S, Newfoundland, Canada - Petty Officer 2nd Class Rob Hooper, an aviation maintenance technician from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., performs routine maintenance checks on the turbine engine of a Coast Guard C-130J. The air crew is deployed to St. John's on an aerial reconnaissance mission supporting the International Ice Patrol as it gathers data on ice conditions, icebergs and their movements in the North Atlantic.
