PACIFIC OCEAN - The Coast Guard Cutter Waesche cuts through the waves of the Pacific Ocean as the crew conducts fisheries patrols throughout the region, April 8, 2012.
The Waesche crew was conducting patrols as a part of Operation Persistent Presence, a 14th Coast Guard District initiative to deter and prevent illegal fishing activities.
