Coast Guard reenacts life aboard revenue cutter during War of 1812

Daniel Niebuhr of the U.S.Coast Guard's Historic Ship Company and dressed in an authentic uniform to commemorate the bicentennial of the War of 1812, teaches a youngster some of the skills that were used aboard Revenue Cutters during that time period, on a pier near Discovery World in Milwaukee, Aug. 10, 2012. Living history reenactments, portraying life aboard the Revenue Cutter Service from which the Coast Guard evolved, will take place from noon to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
