    ARLINGTON, V.A.-Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard Michael Leavitt visits with members of the Coast Guard Recruiting Command in Arlington, Va., to speak about the status of the service and what can be expected in the near future Wed. Jan. 16, 2013.

    The Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, the most senior enlisted position in the service, acts as a personal advisor to Coast Guard Commandant ADM Robert Papp in matters that affect both active duty and reserve enlisted members and their families. As the MCPOCG, Leavitt serves as an example of the Coast Guard's core values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty and possesses the highest standards of professionalism and personal integrity.
