The Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, the most senior enlisted position in the service, acts as a personal advisor to Coast Guard Commandant ADM Robert Papp in matters that affect both active duty and reserve enlisted members and their families. As the MCPOCG, Leavitt serves as an example of the Coast Guard's core values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty and possesses the highest standards of professionalism and personal integrity.
