An EA-6B Prowler from the "Gauntlets" of Electronic Attack Squadron 136 and an F/A-18F Super Hornet from the "Diamondbacks" of Attack Fighter Squadron 102 launch nearly simultaneously off the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. George Washington is sailing off the coast of Southern California where the crew is conducting training evolutions with Carrier Air Wing 5. George Washington departed San Diego Aug. 21, 2008, en route to Yokosuka, Japan, where the ship will replace USS Kitty Hawk as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
