Stephen Burnley, the senior enlisted soldier for 5-7 ADA, uncase the unit colors at a transfer of authority ceremony in Gaziantep, Turkey on Dec. 13. The 5-7 ADA soldiers had just assumed ballistic missile defense responsibilities in southeastern Turkey from the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment from Fort Sill, Okla. Other air defense forces from the Netherlands and Germany are deployed in Turkey as well, assisting the Turkish government in helping to protect civilians from foreign missile threats.
