Mark Tarrant, mortarman, Delta Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, and a native of Corunna, Miss., prepares mortar rounds for live fire training in support of Exercise Steel Knight at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., Dec. 12, 2013. The exercise gave the Marines the opportunity to refine and rehearse essential combat skills needed in a combat environment. Steel Knight is an annual exercise that includes elements from the entire I Marine Expeditionary Force.
