Spc. Efren Valentin, a watercraft operator with the Puerto Rico Army National Guard's Landing Craft Detachment, and a native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, ties the rope as the watercratf docks at former Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Jan. 20. The members of the LCD are providing support to the PRARNG's engineers of the 130th and 190th engineer battalions by transporting personnel and construction equipment to Vieques, Puerto Rico. The engineers will be conducting cleaning works for the next 15 days to the areas surrounding the world's most luminous bioluminescent bay, Mosquito Bay, to help improve the quality of life of the citizens of Vieques that will also help them in maintaining the habitat of this natural resource.
