Petty Officer 3rd Class Nicholas Schmit, a tuba player in the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band, plays for a group of students at Bonadowito public school during a community relations project. The band and the European region U.S. Navy soccer team departed Naples, Italy, Sept. 8, 2008 for an 11-day sports diplomacy tour. The tour is focused on improving understanding and developing goodwill through sports, music and community relations while visiting Cape Verde, Cameroon, and Gabon.
