Commanding Officer Capt. Joe Clarkson presents Chief Aviation Electronics Technician Tracy Lavinder with a Bronze Star aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Lavinder earned the Bronze Star for serving as a Global Support Augmentee in Iraq from 2008-2009. The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet areas of responsibility.
