Sailors in damage control central don MCU-2P gas masks during a chemical, biological and radiological attack drill as they communicate with damage control repair stations aboard 7th Fleet command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). The MCU-2P gas mask filters and protects Sailors against the inhalation of harmful chemical, biological, and radiological agents. Blue Ridge is commanded by Capt. Rudy Lupton and serves under Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) 7/Task Force (CTF) 76, the Navy's only forward deployed amphibious force. Blue Ridge is the flagship for Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet. Task Force 76 is headquartered at White Beach Naval Facility, Okinawa, Japan, with an operating detachment in Sasebo, Japan.
