Scott Busby, aviation boatswain's mate (handling), uses a power-sander to service the catwalk on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Sept. 19, 2008, was a designated maintenance day, leaving the flight deck available for much needed maintenance and upkeep on aircraft. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
