Alexis Fernandez, aviation boatswain's mate (handling), yells commands to the hose team during flight deck drills aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. During flight deck drills, fire fighting teams are made up of every rate that works on the flight deck during normal flight operations. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibilities. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
