Williams, a 35-year-old native of Holly Hill, S.C., knows as drill instructors, his students will be judged upon every move they make by those they will be responsible for molding into their predecessors. The Drill Instructor School on Parris Island and its counterpart in San Diego are responsible for training all future drill instructors in an intensive 11-week course.
