    Army Reserve Medical Command

    Sgt. Jacob M. Lane, a combat medic with Detachment 1, 4224th U.S. Army Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is competing in the Army Reserve Medical Command’s prestigious Best Warrior Competition” held here Feb. 24 – 27, 2014. Lane, a native of Algona, is representing the Central Medical Area Readiness Support Group from Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Currently, he works at DuPoint Pioneer Production Plant as a Treater Assistant in Cedar Rapids, and has volunteered in the physical therapy and rehabilitation department in St. Luke’s hospital. Lane earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2008.
