Scott Stapp, the former lead singer of the music group Creed, gave an encore performance for the crew of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan on the ship's flight deck during a concert sponsored by the ship's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department. Stapp surprised Ronald Reagan's crew as he and his band returned to stage with acoustic guitars in hand. MWR sponsors events to raise to Sailor morale and provide Sailors with unique recreation activities. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibilities. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
